In addition to your course of study, all students at Bowling Community College have access to:

 

STUDY SUPPORT SERVICES

 

Use of Study Centre for individual study.

A range of resources available for loan at the library.

Use of the computer room and access to open area computers.

Individual appointments with our Learning Support Tutor for extra support with your studies.

 

INFORMATION, ADVICE AND GUIDANCE

 

The College is an information Advice and Guidance centre and a member of the Bradford Information Advice and Guidance Network.

 

Qualified staff are available to advise you on ‘next steps’ in education.

 

CHILDCARE

 

Support for childcare is available; please ask for more details.

 

CENTRE CAFÉ

The café is open every day and serves a selection of drinks, snacks and light meals. It is also open in the evening serving drinks and snacks.

 

SHORT COURSES

 

Throughout the year we offer students free short courses, from learning more about your computer to Indian head massage.  Details are posted on the student notice board a few weeks before courses start.

 

WELFARE

 

A member of the College staff, Davina Shoesmith, is available to offer confidential help and support to students on any matters that might affect their study.

 

NEWSLETTER

 

A termly  newsletter including up to date information about what’s happening in The College.  Contributions from students are welcome.
