DETAILS

The course is suitable for anyone interested in drama who would like an access route to further drama training or is interested in increasing their confidence through developing performance skills.

Each module includes work in the following areas:

 

Developing performance skills.

Developing skills of co-operation, teamwork and personal responsibility.

Introducing specific techniques and technology necessary to support performance skills at this level.

Introducing health and safety requirements associated with drama performance.

 

ASSESSMENT

Participation in Performances

Students compile a portfolio of work.

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

None, but students should have an interest in drama and theatre.

(Although no formal qualifications are necessary, academic qualifications may be necessary if candidates wish to progress to further areas of study).

 

COURSE MATERIALS

Appropriate clothing for practical work.

Ring binder and file paper

 

DURATION

120 hours

(Usually organised into one teaching / workshop session per week plus time taken for practical rehearsal and performance). 

 

PROGRESSION

A level theatre studies

 

QUALIFICATION GAINED

NCFE CERTIFICATE IN PERFORMING ARTS
