DETAILS

This is a follow on course from computers for beginners or for people with a little experience of using computers.  It also provides a broad basis for those intending to go on to specialised or more advanced studies.  A hands-on course covering word processing, spreadsheets and databases OR word processing, desktop publishing and graphical representation of data.  Three completed modules gain the CLAIT Award.  Less than three gains a profile. 

 

ASSESSMENT

Students are assessed on each of the three modules of the course

Word Processing

Databases

Spreadsheets

OR

Word Processing

Desktop Publishing

Graphical Representation of Data (graphs) OR email (from OCR Internet Technologies Certificate). *Please note: The third module will be confirmed once the class has begun.  Please ask for more details.

Candidates who successfully complete a short task for each module will be awarded a Stage 1 pass.

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

You must have basic keyboard skills or have completed our Computers for Absolute Beginners courses.
