DETAILS

The course is designed for anyone working in a care setting who is either already delivering an activities programme and would like to gain a qualification or is planning to deliver an activities programme within their workplace.

The course is made up of six units:

Explore the Benefits and Uses of Exercise and Relaxation

Explore Craft and Creative Activities

Work With Groups

Plan and Run a Reminiscence Session

Evaluate Care Planning and Promote Independence

Manage Activity Programmes

 

ASSESSMENT

Students produce a portfolio of evidence as well as planning and taking part in a variety of activities.

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Students should already be working in a care environment in either a paid or voluntary capacity and have a reasonable command of English.
