Suitable for absolute beginners, people who are retraining or those who wish to progress to a higher level in bookkeeping or accounting.

 

Practical Bookkeeping Stage 1

The elementary principles of bookkeeping.  Learn how to compile daybooks, operate a petty cash system and write up and reconcile cash and bank records.

ASSESSMENT  

Practical Bookkeeping Stage 1 - a two-hour written examination. Candidates will be assessed by means of three tasks set by OCR.  Results are graded Pass or Fail.  Candidates who pass all three elements at one session will be awarded a Stage 1 Certificate in Practical Bookkeeping.
